Marriage
The policy at Saint Bonaventure concerning the celebration of
marriage has been established in order to maintain a sense of
order in the life of the parish community. The celebration
of the Sacrament of Marriage is one component within the
worshipping life of our parish family. Therefore, in order
to maintain order the following requirements must be
met. Either the bride or groom must be a registered
parish member and living within the parish boundaries one year
prior to setting a wedding date. Arrangements for marriage
are to be made one year in advance as set down in the “Common
Policy for Marriage” established by the Bishops of New
Jersey.
So
as to allow adequate time between marriage ceremonies fixed times
have been established. The times are Friday evenings
at 4:00 p.m., Saturdays 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., or 2:00 p.m.
